In essence, Spiritual Counselling, is being with another person in complete acceptance and non-judgement, listening deeply to what is being said as well as to what’s not being said.  The invitation with Spiritual Counselling is to bring your whole  self – your joy, your love, your peace, your compassion, your hurts, your pain, your anger, your despair, your confusion, your questioning - into the space of being in anther's presence.

Each person is unique and finding what is of benefit to you is part of the meeting. You may wish for silence and stillness, talking, guided meditation, visualisation, prayer or music – whatever would feel appropriate and supportive for you, as we are all different.

My way of being with another person in a counselling session is strongly influenced by the teachings of Miranda Macpherson, Byron Katie, and The Centre for Compassionate Communication.
